The lyceum trains tenth- and eleventh-form pupils. The curriculum comprises the basic secondary school education and special lyceum education.

The basic education component provides training in subjects in compliance with the curricula of ordinary secondary schools.

The special lyceum education is aimed at in-depth teaching of such subjects as mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering drawing, Russian and foreign languages. Also included in the curriculum are various optional special courses, elective subjects as well interest clubs and hobby groups.

The training course is divided into four terms:

  • 1st and 2nd terms - 10th form
  • 3d and 4th terms - 11th form

Two levels of training are offered:

1st level two-year training in subjects of the basic education component

2nd level two-year training in one of the following fields:

  • physics and engineering subjects
  • mathematics and computer science
  • design and technology

Both NSTU professors and best teachers from fourteen secondary schools of Novosibirsk teach in the lyceum.

Pupils of Novosibirsk schools after completing the 9th form can be admitted to the lyceum. Enrollment to the lyceum based on the results of written tests in mathematics, physics and Russian is competitive. Testing and competitive selection are conducted in March-April.

Upon successful completion of the course graduates are granted a school-leaving certificate of the state standard and the right to take part in competitive enrollment to NSTU based on the academic progress record in their school-leaving certificates (without taking entrance examinations).

Graduates from the lyceum have the right to apply to any two faculties of NSTU, which enhances their chances to enter the University greatly.
