The Information and Consulting centre of the German Service of Academic Exchanges DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschienst) was opened in NSTU on 1 September 2001.

The Singes song-writers is one of the informal centres of NSTU cultural life.
Mikhail Blam's Violinist Ensemble -
The Ensemble was organised in February 1970. At that time there were three violinists and one cellist in it. Mikhail Blam, a musician from the symphony orchestra of the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society was invited to lead the group.
Meeting of Old Friends -
The Academic Chorus of NETI / NSTU was created in 1964. On 19 April, they gave the first concert. This date is considered the day of birth of the Chorus.
PRIZE "Prometheus" -
Every year the Prometheus prize is awarded to NSTU students who have made their personal contribution to developing and improving the University image.
